Rally 34: Eccleshall Castle, Stafford
Programme:
Eccleshall Castle is a private family home situated on the edge of the small market town of Eccleshall in Staffordshire. It was originally built in the 13th century. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building.
The rally field is in pleasant surroundings located to the side of the house in a fairly well sheltered area. It is just a short stroll into the quaint village of Eccleshall with a great choice of watering holes including the historic Royal Oak which was the first a pub in the 17th century and later became a coaching inn. There is a selection of small shops, including convenience stores, one charity shop and some nice coffee shops. Fletcher’s garden centre is only a short drive away.
There are some circular walks and a map can be downloaded from the Eccleshall Parish Council website.
